KRAFT&DELE Three-scale Refractometer for Coolant, Windshield Washer Fluid, and Battery Electrolyte KD10541
Overview
The KRAFT&DELE KD10541 is a triple-scale refractometer for checking fluids used in cars, trucks, and buses. The device allows determining the freezing point of windshield washer fluid and propylene and ethylene glycol-based coolants, as well as assessing the density of battery electrolyte.
Usage
Open the plastic cover of the prism, apply a few drops of the sample onto the prism with a pipette, and close the cover to evenly distribute the liquid. Wait for about 30 seconds, point the refractometer towards a light source, and read the result on the eyepiece scale at the boundary between the white and blue areas. If necessary, adjust the sharpness of the image with the knob behind the eyepiece.
Calibration
Before use, the refractometer can be calibrated with water. Apply 3-4 drops of water to the prism with the included pipette, close the cover, and adjust the calibration screw with a screwdriver until the light-shadow boundary aligns with the WATERLINE on the scale.
